Non-coughing tip................

Dear cough-ees
This may not apply to all situations, but I have found that Lavender on the lower back of the neck helps to stop coughing. Good for when you can't link it to an infection or cold.

YL's Thyromin is an exceptional product!....................

Hello Everybody!!

I just wanted to share what happened taking thyromin this month. First of all I'm really good at taking care of everyone except for myself.

About a month ago my mom went to the hospital because she was having chest pains, feeling really bad and thought she might be having a heart attack.

I won't get into everything that transpired there but they sent her home with 10 prescriptions and told her to take them or she would die. No talk about food, excessive or even stress. Just take these drugs or die. Nice.

My mom told me she wishes she would have listened to me years ago but was willing to listen now. She came to stay with us for a few days to recover.

She told me she was going to go to the store to get her drugs and I said why don't we look and see what others are doing for high blood pressure, cholesterol etc.

Between the two of us we had all the oils recommended and I happened to have a bottle of thyromin I only used a couple of capsules out of(one of her prescriptions was for synthroid).

So for the first couple of weeks my mom was doing great and thanked me constantly.

Then she called one day to say that she felt awful and was going to get her drugs. It was determined that the reason she felt so bad was she ran out of the thyromin. Her order wasn't comimg in for a few more days.

She put myrtle over her thyroid and felt relief right away. That got her through until her order arrived. She said when she took her thyromin she felt a lot better.

She replaced my bottle that she took and told me to take it. She spent the night again and I took 2 thyromin before bed. I woke up the next day and was stunned at how much better I felt. My mom told me I looked a lot better too.

I had a ton of energy throughout the day and I was happier. I took it for four days in a row and really felt good. I forgot it the last two nights and was fine yesterday but today had to drag myself out of bed.

So, I am a thyromin supporter now and would recommend it to anyone with thyroid issues. I know there are hundreds if not thousand of folks who take it instead of synthroid or armour(sp?). Even folks who have had their thyroids irradiated or removed.

Also, you can't get your free autoship points ordering armour from Canada!;)

Information regarding YLEO's going through x-ray machines.........

Hi Amil,
We are currently receiving CARE Intensive training with Dr. David Stewart. He stated that a direct hit on an essential oil molecule will shatter the molecule, but it will regroup. He has traveled many miles with his oils going through X-Ray machines and the oils have never failed to work after arriving at the destination.

Hope this helps,
Don

Yoga and YLEO's............................

There is an awesome book called Aroma Yoga you can get from AbundantHealth4U.com "Aroma Yoga," by Tracy Griffiths and Ashley Turner
http://www.abundanthealth4u.com/Aroma_Yoga_by_Tracy_Griffiths_Ashley_Turner_p/8986.htm

I gave the book to the Yoga instructor and she put together a Yoga session and then I supplied the oils and passed them out at the appropriate places in the session. It went very well. 3 people in the class became distributors.

Hope that helps,

......more yoga--breathing with frankincense
SIMPLE YOGA TECHNIQUE WITH FRANKINCENSE

Yogis throughout the ages have practiced pranayama, the art of breathing well. Prana means "breath," "vitality," or "energy,"; ayama means "to stretch." Pranayama extends and regulates the energy flow throughout the body. As regular users of Young Living essential oils, we probably all know the importance of being able to breathe unencumbered, deeply, and fully. As we inhale essential oils, the tiny molecules of the oils enter through our nasal passages, into our lungs, and then into our bloodstream, helping increase the uptake of oxygen, among the many benefits the oils provide.

When we practice special breathing techniques such a pranayama combined with using essential oils, we have the ability to clear our minds, calm our nervous systems, and restore balance in our emotions in a very profound way. Try this simple pranayama technique with frankincense essential oil, which is known as the "holy anointing oil." Frankincense can help ground us into a physical experience on the earth plane while also helping lift our consciousness to higher states of being.

THREE-PART YOGA BREATHING TECHNIQUE:

Get your bottle of your frankincense essential oil and lie on the floor on your back with your knees bent. Place a drop of frankincense into your left palm and gently rub your hands together clockwise to spread the oil evenly onto your palms.

STEP 1: Bring your oiled palms up to your nose and inhale deeply; first concentrate on lifting your navel and lower abdomen for ten breaths. After the first three or five inhalations, you may rest your hands on your lower abdomen to focus on sending the air to your lower abdomen. Exhale completely before the next inhalation.

STEP 2: Apply another drop of frankincense to your palms, rub your hands together as described above, and bring your palms to your nose and begin another round of ten breaths; this time focus your breath into your middle abdomen and mid rib cage area. Rest your hands on your rib cage to help you focus your breath there. At the end of the tenth breath, fully exhale all the air out from your lungs and feel your navel draw up toward your spine.

STEP 3: Reapply the frankincense to your palms and inhale for another round of ten breaths, this time focusing on filling your upper chest and upper lungs. Place your hands on your collarbones to help you focus your breath in the upper region of your lungs.

Now put all the steps together for the three-part yoga breath so you breathe evenly into all three sections of the torso: lower abdominal area, middle rib cage, and collarbones. Feel free to apply more essential oil to your palms and inhale if needed. Try to keep each inhalation and exhalation equal in length. Follow the breath and the scent of the frankincense, imagining the oil and the air washing through you. Your steady breath and the frankincense oil will help calm your mind and bring harmony to your whole body.

The Miracle of Onycha
by David Stewart, PhD, DNM

Onycha is an oil mentioned in the Bible, Exodus 30:34, as an ingredient in the Holy Incense to be diffused in temples of worship. Onycha oil (Styrax benzoin) is also a powerful antiseptic and facilitator of rapid healing. It goes by several common names including Friar's Balm and Javanese Frankincense. It is extracted from the resin of a tree that grows in the Far East, specifically in Indonesia.

For more than 200 years, hospitals have used an alcohol solution of this oil as their primary antiseptic. Dissolved in ethyl alcohol, it is called Benzoin or Tincture of Benzoin. It is the smell of this tincture that used to give hospitals their peculiar "hospital smell."

Following World War II, hospitals started to employ other antiseptics derived from petroleum that were less expensive. They are now discovering that bacteria can become resistant to these synthetic antiseptics, but do not become resistant to Tincture of Benzoin. Hence, many of today's hospitals are returning to the natural antiseptic of Benzoin realizing it is more effective and does not contribute toward the creation of resistant strains of virulent pathogens.

Resistant strains of bacteria are a major and growing problem in hospitals today resulting in thousands of deaths every year. Even visitors to hospitals can pick up these pathogens, which can be fatal. Even the most powerful antibiotics, such as vancomycin and methycillin, do not kill these germs. The answer is to be found in natural products such as essential oils.

Chemistry of Onycha Oil

The chemical composition of onycha oil is unique. It contains more organic acids than any other oil. These include benzoic and cinnamic acids. It also contains a compound named "vanillin aldehyde" which is a dominant compound in the beans of the vanilla plants of tropical South America (Vanilla planifolia and Vanilla aromatica). These are the source of the extract with the distinctive aroma and flavor of vanilla we love so much. A more complete analysis of onycha oil is given in my book, The Chemistry of Essential Oils Made Simple.

Onycha oil is an absolute, extracted from a tree resin by solvents, not by distillation. It is darkly colored and very thick. It will not usually pour through the small opening in the dropper cap of most essential oil bottles.

Onycha as a Healing Oil

Oil of onycha is unparalleled in its therapeutic action on open wounds. Let me give you a couple of examples.

A year or so ago, I was using a sharp knife and was not following the appropriate safety procedures nor common sense. The knife slipped and cut my left thumb down to the bone. It bled profusely. I first applied some frankincense to stop the bleeding, which it did within a few minutes. Then I packed some onycha oil, which is very viscous and thick, into the open wound. I did not use a bandage or bandaid or any other covering. I exposed the wound to sunlight a few times during the day and replenished the onycha oil in the wound several times. The cut began to show signs of healing right away. It did not form a scab. Instead, the wound came together and the two sides began to knit together. It never got infected nor did it get sore. Within a week, it was totally healed with virtually no scar.

Another more dramatic example is with a friend of mine. He was using a power saw when he accidentally let his thumb get into the whirling blade which gouged out a chunk of flesh from the pad of his left thumb. He went to the hospital emergency room where they applied some antibiotics and other allopathic potions and bandaged it up. A few days later I saw him in church with his bandaged thumb. I mentioned that I had an oil that might help, but he was not interested. "I'll let the doctors take care of it," he said.

The next week at church, his thumb was still bandaged. When I asked him about it he said he had been back to the doctors several times, but the wound was not healing and was festering and getting worse. Again, I mentioned that maybe an essential oil would help. He was still not interested, his faith in allopathy still strong and intact.

Later that week, his wife approached me and asked if there was an oil that might help her husband's thumb to heal, that was not getting any better and that the wound was still open, refusing to seal up and mend itself despite the fact they had applied all the medicines and done everything the doctors had prescribed. I told her about onycha oil. She said she would gladly buy a bottle if I had some. Fortunately, I did have a partial bottle, and sold it to her.

The next Sunday, he came to church with his wife. They were both smiling. "This stuff seems to work," he said. "My thumb is starting to heal. The wound is closed and it is not draining pus any more like it was." His wife went on to say that they had completely stopped using the prescription medications and were using only the oil. I told him to keep applying the onycha, which he did.

Two weeks later he came to church with no bandage. "I can't believe how this thumb has healed up," he exclaimed. "Look," he said, "There is hardly any scar and the missing flesh gouged out of my thumb has grown back. I told my wife," he went on, "We need to get some more of that oil and keep it on hand."

How to Obtain Therapeutic Grade Onycha Oil
At this time, the only way I know to get onycha oil is in the 12 Oils of Ancient Scripture Kit sold by Young Living. It is not available by itself.
