YL Essential Bits 455

Sent by Cristina

A few EO tips from Vicki Opfer.....................

Essential oils are plant concentrates and are safe, natural, non- toxic, and very, very rich in molecules that mimic the molecules our bodies use for repair and regeneration. They are a highly effective and economic way to enhance the overall health and wellness of our bodies, minds, and spirits. Some essential oils (such as eucalyptus) increase oxygen availability by over 20%, supporting oxygen-rich cells! So put your oils on and go for a walk or exercise! Our essential oil supplement, Longevity, contains essential oils with a rich history of promoting health and wellness. These oils are known to reduce the risks of heart attacks, strokes, and cancer. They help prevent aging and degeneration. And they help uplift our mood and enhance clarity of thought!Degeneration and disease have long been associated with inflammation in the body. Copaiba and ocotea are rich in beta-caryophyllene, which is the most powerful anti-inflammatory studied so far. They also both contain alpha-humalene, a rare molecule which has been studied for its ability to reduce swelling and inflammation. The people of Brazil take copaiba by the spoonful, so it has been time- tested. Stress Away contains both copaiba and ocotea.

End of bed-wetting.................

Hello All! I have read of one instance where a child was given the Omega Blues for general health and a welcome consequence was the immediate ceasing of the bed-wetting. The child would either wake up on his/her own and go to the bathroom in the middle of the night or be sound asleep and be dry until morning.
Hope this helps! Evagelia

Bladder infections/UTI's................

Hello Tish,
I have a history of re-occurring UTI's and I find that YL's Inner Defense always keeps me going. When it is at its worse I use the infection blend with Frankincense, Oregano and Thieves. Sometimes it works, and at other times it only helps. But with Inner Defense it seems to really do the trick. I would do both and definitely feel safe with oils even when pregnant.

Be well,
Doc Wah

Conception.........................

My naturopath is very hesitant to recommend this regimen for women who are out of balance hormonally and not looking to get pregnant because so many women end up pregnant since it balances the body's reproductive system. 6-20 drops of Progessence plus over carotid arteries and 10-20 drops of Sclaressence under the tongue per day. Can break that amount into 2 or 3 applications over the day. She's had wonderful success for moms trying to conceive too. Endocrine system must also be balanced so oils like Endoflex for thyroid and adrenals and Thyromin can be part of the equation.

Conception and birth really are a miracle, it goes to show you because so many things, hundreds if not thousands, have to be just right in the body chemically to conceive and then sustain to be able to carry that baby to term. God of wonders!

Blessings,
April

Bladder infections.......................

Hi Tisha.

When I had a bladder infection, I found that Young Living's K and B worked very well taken internally. Also, I found that Juniper oil placed over the bladder, followed with a warm-to-hot washcloth worked well on its own. I think if I were pregnant, I would feel comfortable taking either product.

Sincerely,
Gloria Little

A "course" in shingles.........................

Hello Essentially Ours Oilers,

Many of you may or may not be familiar with my upline in YL and dear friend Dr. LeAnne Deardeuff (author of two great books used by us in YL). She has had her share of health challenges, and is always a testimony of "If I didn't have YL, I wouldn't be alive!" And as a personal friend, I know that to be true. She has battled an ongoing challenge of shingles and pain. She would heal, and then stress would bring the shingles on again. She is healing and of course, often when we do a natural healing process, we heal in layers, and often will get worse before we get better. Since I have been reading about many things on the chat groups about neuropathy and shingles, and pain, I asked her could she share what she has been doing in a nut shell, as I have been following it all, but not written it all down. Below is her response:

Dear Quin,

Mayo Clinic said that Cayenne may kill the shingles. It said it did help with pain. So I use the Master Cleanse Juice through out the day with 1/2 tsp cayenne in it. It helps the pain and the itch for about 4 hours.

My singles formula is Gary's pain formula plus Spikenard and Melissa. Many of the oils are anti-inflammatory, and are also nervines meaning they assist nerves.

Here is Gary's Pain Formula I use...
20 drops Valerian
20 drops Vetiver
10 drops Helichrysum (sub Elmi or Palo Santo)
5 drops Clove
5 drops peppermint
10 drops Idaho Balsam Fir
Gary puts this in capsules and takes two full capsules of them as needed. I know that Greg Johnson couldn't have survived with out this formula when he slipped a disc in his back. I took it a drop at a time by mouth, put a drop under my nose and rubbed some on my neck when I had a broken neck. Within 20 minutes, I was pain free for about 2 hours then I repeated it.

For Shingles:
I added
10 drops Melissa
5 drops Spikenard

I take one drop at a time by mouth every minute until the pain subsides. I then start taking one drop every 15 minutes and for an hour then 1 drop an hour. I have made 4 recipes so far and the pain is getting less and less each day. I had pain all over my body since I had shingles all over my body including face, eyes, ears, arms and legs. (*note from Quin... amazing things happened when she added melissa and spikenard!)

I feed the nerves Calcium, Magnesium, Super B, Essential Fatty Acids like Omega Blues, Olive Oil, Evening Primrose etc. The shaking nerves are decreasing, the tension in my body is decreasing, the sharp knife like pains are decreasing.

Shingles is caused by low adrenal and low immune system allowing the chicken pox virus to activate due to stress. So to support those systems... Oysters, onions, garlic, and sweet potatoes along with Rehemogen and other immune oils assist the immune system.

Dr. LeAnne Dearduff

"The only thing that has given them relief".....................

Hi Julie,

Yes, I have had great success with 3 different people using the following recipe to support neuropathy:

2 oz. Regenolone

10 drops Lemongrass

10 drops Helichrysum

10 drops PanAway

I mix this all up in a glass 2 oz container and my clients apply to their feet when they have pain. They have reported that this is the only thing that has given them relief.

Kind regards,
Lorinda Walker, LM

C-section healing...............................

I had a c section in May 2010 I used Thieves Household Cleanser, about a capful with warm water and allowed it to run over the area. I also used lavender, Acceptance, Release, Forgiveness and lemon to bathe in until I healed. I had a minor issue and that healed in 3 days. I am a nurse and both myself and my visiting nurse where surprised, and I had no infection/complications following.

Copaiba essential oil for asthma relief.................

A lady at a meeting in Denver in August said that she had been taking Copaiba in capsules and it relieved her asthma. Copaiba is 55% anti-inflamatory compounds.

.....and....

Welcome, Melissa! Try frankincense and hyssop applied to feet and chest. This has worked for others. Hope it does for you too.

Use YL Bath Gels - one person's experience..................

Hi Sheila,
I personally know several women who no longer have debilitating PMS symptoms because they started using the Dragon Time Bath Gel daily. Even though it is only on their skin for a short time, it still is able to have an amazing effect for them.

I know this is not your issue, but I just wanted to let you know of a health condition that was helped tremendously simply by using the soap (bath gel) daily in the shower. I would not doubt that it would work the same for other issues, because our oils are amazing, and they are in all the YL soaps and gels.

With kind regards,
Audrey Miller

Instead of nasal sprays........................

Hi Susanne, I have successfully used and had others use Basil along the outside of the nose (all of the sinus areas) in place of nasal spray. It is a great anti-inflammatory agent, so reduces the swelling of the nasal mucosa. I am guessing Copiaba could be used as well since it is now supposed to be the best anti-inflammatory oil (according to Gary Young). Either of them are pretty gentle to the skin and can be applied as frequently as needed. I have not used internally as a nose spray but would think it would work that way or put in a neti pot and try it. Addiction to Afrin is a hard one to eliminate because the overuse creates a rebound swelling and then people keep using it more often and therefore keep creating the problem, I have seen many patients do that.
Good luck.
Jeane

Tender Tush is a jewel of a product!.....................
...........and other suggestions for baby.........

Hi Rose,
Tender Tush! We've had such good luck with this product. While it may be more expensive than other products, we hardly have to use any at all. One application is all we usually have to do if we see any redness or soreness in the diaper area. By the next diaper change, the redness/sorenes is usually gone. We also used this on some excema spots and within three days those were gone.

I also love the KidScents lotion. With winter months coming up, skin can become dry. I love to use it on my skin as well.

For oils, in the diffuser I alternate R.C., Peace & Calming, Purification.

For birth, I used the blend of Claraderm + Frankincense as an annointing oil. This was also used on my baby's umbilical cord until it completely healed. I call it sprayable Myrrh oil.

Those would be my suggestions.

Congratulations.
Cheryl in Minnesota
